I forgot to do an intro on the puppy!

Ok see the wittle itty bitty puppy at the bottom of the pic? Well that be Tinkerbell ;I wanted to name her Chewbacca. When we first got her she could fit in one hand. Now she is about the size of her mom (laying on my side).

Her mom is a Teacup Chihuahua and her dad is a Toy Chihuahua. She has her moms size and her dads build.

Currently one of her favorite things to do is in the morning to run up and jump in bed with me bringing me one of her toys.

And as with all chihuahuas she thinks she is the most vicious dogs on the planet. And she will ferociously guard the house, our car, anything we ask her to. As for whose dog she is..... well don't tell any one but she is MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Star Wars Empire at War

I downloaded the demo today and I am at mixed feelings. Lets first talk about what it is:

It is an RTS (Real Time Strategy) where you can either be the Rebels or the Empire. For those of you who have played the Civilization Series, the Age of Empires/Mythology series, Starcraft, and/or the Command and Conquer series you will see familiar concepts. Because in my opinion this game is a combination of all of those RTS's.

As for game choices you can play as either Rebels or the Empire. As in any RTS you gather resources (in this by controlling planets) and build units. You also have to build defensive structures so you don't loose your planets to the opposition. Controlling planets generate credits (also depending on whom you are playing you can send out special ways to increase your credit flow).

There are two types of attacks: First if you attack a planet and the enemy has orbiting fleets and/or defenses you have to do a space battle. If no space defenses are in place then you do a ground assault. To capture a planet you have to elimnate all enemy ground troops.

A nice feature is the retreat function. If you are loosingwith no hope of victory instead of dashing your trrops into a futile effort and wasting those credits that you spent you can exercise the better part of valor and RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!

Now for my opinion of the game and why I have mixed feelings:

1) Its Star Wars - Gotta Love it!
2) Its an RTS - Gotta beat it it!
3) It has a hellacious learning curve - Ugggggggggggg!!
4) Clunky game play (IMO) - double ugggggggggggg!!

So will I buy it? Probally not. Would I play it if given to me? YES!!!!!!

School, Games and Life

SCHOOL ~~ So far I have gotten 3 AD tests and 2 Cisco tests done. My goal for this weekend is to get to finish thru chapter 7 in AD and chapter 3 in Cisco. Now the question is will it happen? Hopefully nothing gets in the way and all go as planned. But as we all know plans have a habit of blowing up and not working the way, well, we planned.

GAMES ~~ As I posted earlier AoE 3 is my game at the moment. I finished the campaign (on easy) yesterday and have built my home cities, they now range between level 6 and 12. I plan on tackling the campaign again and bumping it up a notch on difficulty. Maybe now that I have finished the campaign once I will be able to get into Guild Wars some, again (well if I can catch some guild mates on to help in the missions). I have also been looking at my Knights of the Old Republic discs and have been tempted to try and get that working on my computer. For some reason it likes to crash on this comp.

LIFE ~~ What can I say it is life so it has its challenges. It has it moments of fun. It's moments of boredom. It is filled with happiness as well as sadness. At time it is very frustrating and at other times it is very uneventful. Like a sign I saw today "Life is like a bath, the longer you stay in the more wrinkled you get." I plan on becoming very very very wrinkled! ;-)

Christmas Decorations

It is the 17th day of January. That means that it is 23 days past Christmas. Here I sit at the computer looking around thinking about what I want to blog on when low and behold I glance over and see our CHRISTMAS TREE still up and decorated. 23 days. Ok fine our target date to take it down was the first so that removes 6 days meaning its actually only up for 17 days past the time we planned on taking it down.

But ya know what this is not as bad as it sounds for one year I do belive it was June before we took the tree down. So if we get this years (or I should say last years) tree down and packed away before June then we wont set any new records in this household.

At least we dont light it up anymore!

I am Yoda!!!!

Well it seems every time, and I mean every time I take one of these tests I come out to be Yoda. Look at these 3 results!!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~TEST 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Which Star Wars Jedi/Sith are you?
Yoda
Dynamite in a small package, and long-lasting, like the Energizer bunny. While you are wise and calm, you are able to call on your killer instincts and be kick-ass. Some may call you a ‘sleeper’. With such great power comes some arrogance, but you are quick to return to humility and fix your mistakes. You have certainly left your mark on the world, in good and bad ways, and it was kinda sad to see you go. But no need to worry, you have gained immortality even though you can’t wield your toothpick of a lightsabre anymore.
Personality Test Results
Take this test here.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~TEST 2~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yoda

You scored 55 Courage, 35 Ego, and 65 Lightness!
Yoda is wise and strong, you may not seek a fight, but you know how to finish them.

Age of Empires 3

This is not your old Age of Empires! This is the third age! The series has grown up. The list of minor things that have changed all have changed for the better. But my favorite of the minor improvements has to be the music! Check this out Main Theme . And then there are the ingame graphics. As for major changes they introduced a new concept to the AoE series in that of the Home City. Home City ya ask? Well you see in this sequel you pick up where AoE 2: Age of Kings left off, you are in charge of a colony in the New World. And since you are in the New World back home (your home city) is supporting you. As you gain experience in the game thru many different functions such as: building units and buildings, by winning battles, and by finding treasure: you get shipments of supplies, units and "improvements".

Needless to say this is my current baby. I have placed on hold my Guild Wars addiction for the time being.
